Update this journal w/ alittle CSS pizazz (feels headache ensuing!)

Can smell the food cooking down stairs...lets see, bison (yummie!), potatoes and something else, whatever the hubby is making. I made vanilla-orange crepes this morning! I know! How shocking! I should of just stayed in bed, waited till hubby and lil'one made me breakfast; but! I was hungry!

Oh, btw, bison was good!!

And then there is this. This is my "Season" collection inspired by Rebecca and her wonderful work. Plus she said at one time, "Y'know, I'd love to see you do some profiles"...Okiedokie (speaking of which, I'd LOVE to do a collab with Rebecca so if you're reading this, let us brainstorm! Not too hard!) And this is also inspired by Meredith who agreed with me, that hey, every now and then, getting away from fairies is good. "See Meredith?! No fairies (yet)!"

And more randomness:

Planning on doing an art sale...original pieces of artwork for sale. I just haven't made up my mind if I'm going to do it before I go on leave or after. Mmmmmhhh...oh well!

Oh yes! I need to stretch my wings (more) and having looked at TONS of various artists from traditional to digital (yes!) I've hit an anti-fairy phase. Don't get me wrong, I still want to do things with wings, but more like angelical type stuff, faces, work on animals (ahhhhhhhhh!!!) and mermaids - all of which are screaming to get out of me. Soooo, click here for the link! is that start of the anti-fairy phase...sooner or later, I will come back to fairies. But angelical stuff, mermaids, etc. are beckoning front row attention! 

Khyara - 90% completed! Just hair, abit of ink and a few details and I should have her done tomorrow...now, I'm going to play with my pilates Reformer! :D

Ok, the sun was teasing me that it MIGHT come out, so I took a quick shot (like 4 of them) and much to my chagrin, I still had to play around in Adobe to get the brightness and color close to what it looks like on paper...its still a tad too dark in this image, but its close enough for goverment work at the moment to let y'all get a feel for how its coming along...hopefully my skintone is NOT too dark...I think on her shoulder I need to add some water to just dilute the shadowing on the top part and add some just behind, not alot...her face is almost done, I just need to add some color, contrast and a hint of shadow on the lips, lightest touch of lashes and then I can start doing the hair...the purple-blue flowers will be more purply in color, they are petunias. The leaves I'm not going to mess much with and then I can start building up on the ivy...but, enough of my long ramble, not to mention I had a phthalo blue spill (!!!AHHH!!! oh well)...

30 % completed and I'll probably get further along on her today...more to come...

Please forgive me on the darkness/color contrast of the image...its a 9x12 and I'm not going to stick it on my scanner till its done, so I take a digi pic and the weather outside has been more rain and cloud than not, so - you take what you get with the weather and light - but other than that, stay tuned for an update and a better image....
